THE OPPORTUNITY
The Northern Ontario Product Development Plan saw the need to increase the quality of the tourism offerings in Northern Ontario. Out of this need, Tourism Excellence North (TEN) was created, a Destination Northern Ontario program that delivers a cache of training options designed to better the Northern Ontario tourism experience. One of the educational components, the Fast Track to Success program, pairs industry experts with business operators for one-on-one coaching. BC Hughes has two staff who are retained by TEN as coaches for the program.
THE PROCESS
Meeting with operators one-on-one at their place of business, BC Hughes listens and learns about the challenges and opportunities they’re facing. Applying our industry knowledge, we then provide them with recommendations designed to meet their business goals. We provide expert suggestions to attract more customers, increase margins and increase the quality of their tourism experience, making it more memorable for consumers.
THE OUTCOME
As coaches of the TEN Fast Track to Success program, BC Hughes is helping to increase the quality of Northern Ontario tourism experiences. Operators receive valuable one-on-one time with an industry expert and tangible ideas that they can use to meet their goals and make their business even more successful.
