THE OPPORTUNITY

Recognizing the importance of wellness in today’s world, and the prevalence of these offers in the county, Northumberland Tourism set out to grow their cluster of wellness tourism experiences.

THE PROCESS

BC Hughes worked with Northumberland Tourism to strategize an annual plan to foster the development of new and engaging wellness experiences throughout the county. Designed to engage business owners in fun and supportive way, the Northumberland Wellness Tourism Initiative includes a series of experience development workshops and one on one operator coaching to success combined with experience pilots.

THE OUTCOME

Northumberland has a solid plan to support grown of wellness experiences into the future. This inaugural intake of operators to the program saw huge success in launching multiple experiences to market. The second intake has begun and will continue to add quality wellness experiences to the roster of those currently available in the county.
